The 1986 Michigan Secretary of State election was held on November 4, 1986. to elect Next Secretário of State of Michigan the Democratic candidate and Incumbent Secretaty of State of Michigan Richard H. Austin defeated Republican candidate Weldon Yeager with 70.2% of the vote.
