If Perdix (mythology) is merged with Talos (inventor), what should the destination be?

The two articles Perdix (mythology) and Talos (inventor) seem to both be describing the same mythical character, nephew of Daedalus who, according to legend, invented the potter's wheel, saw, and compass. However, there seems to be some disagreement in ancient sources about whether Perdix was the name of Daedalus's sister with a son named Talos, Calos, or Attalus, or whether Perdix was the name of Daedalus's nephew (with a mother of unknown name). Either way though, this story would be best consolidated in one wiki page instead of duplicated twice. (The mother herself doesn't seem to be independently notable, with ancient sources focused on her brother and son.) I don't feel qualified to judge which would be the most useful title of that article though. Does anyone who knows more about Greek mythology have any insight? –jacobolus (t) 23:59, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
