Welcome!

Hello, Penderyn01, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Richard Jones Berwyn have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been removed. If you have a source for 1837 year of birth, then the best way to handle this is to say that he was born in 1836 (source 1) or 1837 (source 2). If you have multiple sources for 1837 - and something that makes it clear that 1837 is the actual year of birth, then the year can be changed... with a note that 1836 is also given as the year of birth.
I hope that makes sense. I can help format the citation if you can provide a link or source of information. You just need to post a message here or on the article talk page.

Oh, by the way, I just did a quick query and found a few more reliable published sources for 1836... and found sources that would not be acceptable for 1837, including genealogy pages and other sources that would not meet the definition of a reliable source.–CaroleHenson (talk) 14:30, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To Carole Hensen. I can assure you that the info I have provided because I have a copy of the family (to which I belong) bible, written by Berwyn himself. He was born 31 October 1837 in Glyndyfrdwy. Penderyn01 (talk) 14:56, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, gotcha.
The thing is, that's not a published source and isn't isn't verifiable. Can you find anything in a published source. Although it's generally frowned upon because they are primary sources, even a baptismal, birth record, or other public record would be something that would be verifiable. Or, perhaps you are aware of a reliable published source that I couldn't find for the 1837 birth year?
You can respond here... It will keep the conversation together.–CaroleHenson (talk) 15:04, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
