Hogan's Heroes edit

You removed a large portion of the Hogan's Heroes article under the guise that it was commentary and original research. While I agree with that in some areas, how can you consider fully cited sections such as where the series was filmed and how the series was received to be original research or commentary? There are other sections that you removed that should have remained but need references such as the fact that most of the actors were Jewish and comfortable with the series. That balances the section on criticism of the series. Before I restore these areas, I'd like to hear your logic as to why you think they don't belong. Dbroer (talk) 14:37, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

FYI, I've replied to your assertions on my talk page. Please let me know what you would find suitable as a reliable reference so that I can find appropriate references per your request. I've gone back and found many references confirming several statements/facts related to the show but I don't want to get into an edit war because they don't meet your approval. I'd also ask that before you make wholesale deletions that you at least place a citation needed tag and give authors an opportunity to supply them. You can also bring up issues on the talk page. You've clearly done some massive editing to the Hogan's article and have not contributed anything besides removing content and I don't think it's right to make wholesale changes by one person without any discussion. Article I made on Mark Fisher

I wish you didn't try to delete my article I created. I worked very hard on it and I took so much time to do. I can provide you more info on him, he has plenty of media coverage:

http://wwlp.com/2014/05/13/massachusetts-gop-certifies-mark-fisher-for-ballot/

I have more as well. Kegejoeco (aka Plyjacks) (talk) 00:24, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

I was disappointed with my Mark Fisher article being deleted but I not going to fight it because Wikipedia is too strong and I won't win. I'll just say this having nothing to do with Mark Fisher at all. The point being is the Democratic party is more stronger in Massachusetts and Joseph Avellone will have a harder chance in the primary with especially Martha Coakley and Steve Grossman being on the high top. Joseph Avellone is receiving way less media attention than Steve Grossman or even Martha Coakley, Martha Coakley is the front runner right now in the Governor election. Many are saying Martha Coakley has 51%, Steve Grossman 7%, Juliette Kayyem 4%, Donald Berwick 3% and Joseph Avellone only has 1% in the May polls. I just want to be safe and want to no longer want to post on the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joseph Avellone article deletion page but I want others to stop and think about what I said too with Grossman and especially Coakley in the lead in the 2014 Massachusetts Governors race.Kegejoeco (aka Plyjacks) (talk) 19:11, 22 May 2014 (UTC)

Dewey Defeats Truman

The article, as it stands, is unduly apologetic and protective of the Tribune. The article attempts to blame the "mistake" on a labor strike. That is nonsensical and illogical. Perhaps the Tribune did not have the resources to investigate the matter, obtain information, and write a proper article, but rather than admit that, it decided, in reckless disregard of the truth, to publish a headline that turned out to be false. As long as the article is going to contain Tribune apologetics, it should include a line pointing out the deficiency in the apologist's reasoning. John Paul Parks (talk) 04:46, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

do not blank sourced material without consensus. First you deleted most of the section stating it was too long.. then went back and deleted the rest without a comment..that would be pushing a non neutral point of view or more appropriatly attempting to remove a fact. then you once again deleted the whole item after it was restored.... claiming its not neutral. it is NPOV as sourced from a major metropolitan newspaper. I didnt even add the first part just removed the part which was not factually accurate. also the issue being a constitutional one and relating to a political office certainly needs to be mentioned and explained. there are few things mentioned about the election which is why it seems more space is being taken on this topic.. regardless DO NOT remove sourced info without getting consensus because you have the opinion its not relevant. nothing of what is said is remotely factually inaccurate. thanks Tracer9999 (talk) 00:06, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

Request on 14:51:10, 27 December 2014 for assistance on AfC submission by Grace and Fuller

Hi

Thank you for reviewing our Wikipedia entry submission.

I tried to keep the content factual and whilst most of the data I am citing is found on our website Grace and Fuller, it is a) testimonials are independently written by medical professionals who can be verified and b)the document called Science Behind Expian is a scientifically written document with more than 100 citations relevant to the subject field.

I can bring in some of the scientific papers cites within "Science Behind Expian" but I had thought that 'discussing' in part, the merits of some of these papers vis-à-vis our product and the website would be of lesser merit.

I will work on the submission request a little more today. I intend adding the chemical structures for both beta-caryophyllene and eugenol along with the correct nomenclature (much like the Wikipedia entry for 'nabiximols' aka 'Sativex'; I will also add a professional photo of the product.

I can also cite letters that we have sent to The Canadian Cancer Society and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, asking that they consider Expian (the product) for us in cancer and MS pain.

My point is not to produce an 'advertisement' per se, but like any Wiki article, to provide useful data and facts, not least for others to be better informed and to enable informed decisions.

Can whomever reviewed our submission stay with me and help to produce through 'pointers', an article which is closer to your requirements?

Kind regards

Donna Evans

Hi, Re: Draft:Robbie Glover - I seems to be going backwards with this article. It was not created by me, I just decided to take it over - it was originally started in 2008. After the first review I submitted, I asked the reviewer for comments - (User_talk:Dodger67/Archive_8#Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation.2FRobbie_Glover). which all seemed logical, so I then set about writing it in a format that would be acceptable. The second review needed more sources, so I tracked down as many as I could (it's not easy, as it's a UK artist who's got to No.1 twice in Eastern Europe, rather than in the UK - at least that part in documented on the BBC!). So I'm not really sure how many more sources I need to find (if they can be found) - I know the best ones are obviously the ones that cannot be written by the subject - i.e the BBC, The Stage, The Sun, IUMA, etc. Other refs are just there to show his songs have been covered by many other artists as he is also a songwriter as well as a singer. Any suggestions would be useful. Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:37, 2 January 2015 (UTC)

I am submitting this re-review as based on the current guidelines and Scott's career and media appearances he does meet the minimums for being note worthy. I mentioned the Congressional hearing, linked the media interviews and in no way is the post self serving or advertorial. I am confident others may come to the page and make more inclusions. I am new to Wikipedia, so if you decline once more, would you please let me know what I can do to get the article included.

21:04:57, 13 January 2015 review of submission by Glassell69

Hiro -

Thank you for your response on my recently submitted article on composer Elizabeth Alexander. I am surprised that so many of her colleagues are featured in Wikipedia, while Alexander's international influence on contemporary composition is absent.

You had noted that the article seemed to be more of a "marketing" piece. This is not the intent, for as you know, talking about artists' ouevre can seem close to marketing. I have seen many reviews quoted on other composers' wikipages, which like Alexander's articles work to both describe the work and tell the influence of their works - for published criticism, even academic examination, is of course subjective.

I will edit the article toward neutrality and external sourcing, as recommended.

Thank you, and please look forward to my resubmission.

I'm back because parts of my sandbox entry are available for public view on Google. I tried entering, for example, Grace and Fuller analgesic and this entry is #1: Fuller/sandbox Archives - Wikipedia Recent Change Post wikirecent.com/topics/fullersandbox/ Dec 26, 2014 - ”'Expian”' is a patented (applied for [1]) phytocannabinoid-terpenoid topical analgesic and ...

I thought the point of a sandbox was to experiment knowing that the work won't be published. Can you help me remove this, please? It isn't professional. Thanks. I appreciate any advice. Donna

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages

Thank you for your recent articles, including John S. Parsons, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 22:35, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

hey, stop, combine Harvard residence house AFDs

Hey, i commented at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mather House (Harvard University) already, but then I see new AFDs for two more opened. Could you please make it one wp:MULTIAFD. I already was going to Talk pages like Talk:Cabot House and giving notice to comment at the Mather AFD, which i saw first. Reduce duplication.

The notice I was posting is:

There's a proposal to merge this article into a larger one to be created, List of Harvard residence houses and dormitories. Discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mather House (Harvard University). The larger list-article could possibly be created by moving List of Harvard College freshman dormitories to the new title, then merging in info about this and 12 other residence houses. Comment at the discussion there, not here. Please consider Wikipedia policy and guidelines if you comment. Note that wp:GNG standard requires substantial coverage in independent reliable sources, for a topic to have a separate Wikipedia article.

I was going to note this at the central, Mather AFD, of course.

I'll watch here. Can we have just one discussion, please? --doncram 21:21, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

I am not disagreeing with your perspective that these articles aren't great. AFDing is valid, sure. This is about:
and any more of the 13 residence houses you'd AFD.
I was hoping you'd combine the discussions using wp:MULTIAFD. Or, if you don't think criteria for that are met, and you prefer separate AFD discussions, could you add a short note yourself, linking to the other related AFDs? (and perhaps briefly stating why they are separate, why this one is different?). I am just trying to help organize discussion, at this point.--doncram 21:58, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
Okay, i see your note at one of the AFDs, that the articles vary enough. Okay, i am just adding a short note below your nom statement in each one, linking to the others... objectively/properly i hope. --doncram 22:16, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
