I have spoken to Walter Malcolm Edges wife Janet who he abandoned in 1963. Shes on facebook. Janet Holliday Edge. CarolinaManMusic (talk) 04:44, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But no evidence exists of the walter and connie ministries? You said you referenced a newspaper? whats up? No evidence exists of connie meade edge outside of this wikipedia article? you cannot, or have not verified any of this.

the woman who claims to be his daughter joyce is also on facebook and told this story and send copy and pastes of newspaper articles. Janet Holliday Edge. the wife he abandoned believes its true. if he was really your uncle why not try to contact her? i know where she lives and her phone number if you want to take this conversation privatly and off the public view CarolinaManMusic (talk) 22:59, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

i dont want the number or the contact on here publicly but i got the phone number and a contact mailing address for Janet Holliday Edge. If you are really the nephew of Walter, then you are her nephew as well. i know Walter had several sisters, evelyn and louise and his mother was sabina and sam. i have talked too her greatly when Joyce Edge wrote an article with all these claims. her grandson dug a lot of this up through a private eye firm. my email address is joe.macer@yahoo.com. email me and i will send her facebook link, myspace link, and her telephone number CarolinaManMusic (talk) 23:06, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First, you have a conflict of interest with the subject. That does not prohibit you from editing the article, but it does require you to rely heavily on reliable sources. As you've already noted, that's a problem with this article: nothing is currently cited in the article—no newspaper stories, magazine articles, etc.

I'm with you on the verification at this point. If the article is going to stay, the claims must be verified. If they can't be verified, the article needs to be deleted. Feel free to participate in any deletion discussion if/when that happens, but I suggest you make clear your affiliations in that instance.

You may also want to read WP:AUTO#IFEXIST, which has pointers about what to do when there is an article about yourself (or in this case, a relative). It also includes how to handle problems in articles. However, at this point, I think things can be handled fine at the talk page discussion level without need for more drastic measures. —C.Fred (talk) 16:26, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Connie Meade-Edge has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Inability to verify any of the claims in the article. For instance, there are no hits on Google for "The Word with Holy Connie," which is surprising for a program that went off the air this year.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

FYI, if the tag remains on the page for seven days—that is, if the deletion goes unchallenged—the article will be deleted. If it's removed but there are no sources added to verify any of the claims in the article, then I intend to nominate it for deletion at WP:Articles for deletion. —C.Fred (talk) 15:58, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
