hi! good catch! i just checked the mammal diversity database and it says its Clethrionomyini

So, on this topic... I'm a long term editor in animal taxonomy. We don't have to bother with AFC. Gather references on the deprecation of Myodes and Myodini, and we can do as I say above and add some info to the tribe and genus articles based on the gathered references. - UtherSRG (talk) 19:46, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I've done the tribe, Craseomys, and that genus's species. I might get to finishing Clethrionomys and its species later. There's also the navboxes. I've been removing the species-level nav box, but the subfamily box needs updating, as does the article. I note that Hyperacrius was removed to tribe Microtini, so that needs to be done, too... Yeah... this is never simple.... Microtini needs to be erected with the following genera: Chionomys, Lasiopodomys. Lemmiscus, Microtus, Alexandromys (elevated from subgenus), Stenocranius (elevated from subgenus), Neodon (which now includes the Phaiomys sp.), Proedromys, Volemys, and Hyperacrius. That leaves only Arvicola in Arvicolini. Also, Phenacomyini becomes Pliophenacomyini. That will take care of the subfamily. - UtherSRG (talk) 16:59, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
