Hi. Regarding this revert of yours, I could not find the phrase "Hudson River" anywhere else in the article body's text. Can you point out the passage you were referring to? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 00:05, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Albert Bierstadt was a HRS painter and Didion makes the connection. 98.248.84.55 (talk) 00:30, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Kinkade's name does not appear anywhere in the source cited for the passage that mentions Bierstadt (and neither does Didion, for that matter). Is that the source you were referring to, or is there another one in the article? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 08:26, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Didion: "This 'Kinkade Glow' could be seen as derived in spirit from the 'lustrous, pearly midst' that Mark Twain derided in the Bierstadt paintings, and the level of execution to one side, there are certain unsettling similarities between the two painters.… Is Thomas Kinkade's Sierra in fact any more sentimentalized than that of Albert Bierstadt?" 98.248.84.55 (talk) 14:48, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter. Wikipedia editors are not permitted to include their own personal analyses to articles, per WP:NOR. Such comments require citations of reliable, secondary sources, per WP:V, WP:PSTS, WP:CS, et al. Do you have, or are you aware of sources that you'd like to add to the passages in question? Nightscream (talk) 13:40, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am permitted to include that the HRS prefigures Kinkade's style, because that's what Didion and other critics (now cited) have said. 98.248.84.55 (talk) 14:55, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding the citations. :-) Nightscream (talk) 15:49, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
