Welcome to Wikipedia!!! First of all, I would like to thank you for visiting Wikipedia and my personal page. I'm a native speaker of English, and love reading fantasy books; may I introduce some to you? The Dragonlance series, Shannara series, and Animorphs are my favourites. Anyway, I hope that Wikipedia will become an even better encyclopedia than it is already.
I just came back from a very long Wikibreak; so I just want to let you Wikipedians know that somewhere out there, I'm still alive. Pinguicula vulgaris, the common butterwort, is a perennial carnivorous plant in the Lentibulariaceae family. It has a generally circumboreal distribution, being native to almost every country in Europe as well as Russia, Canada and the United States. Growing to a height of 3 to 16 centimetres (1.2 to 6.3 inches), it is topped with a purple and occasionally white funnel-shaped flower that is 15 millimetres (0.59 in) or longer. The plant, which is insectivorous, grows in damp environments such as bogs and swamps, in low or subalpine elevations. Its leaves have glands that excrete a sticky fluid that traps insects to its leaves; its glands also produce digestive enzymes that work to consume the insects externally. It is possible to create links to every word in an article. But providing too many defeats their purpose by obscuring the most relevant links. Here's an example of overlinking:

Wikipedia's greatness stems from being able to link articles together easily, but don't overdo it. It can get really annoying and does not help the reader.
The Community bulletin board (aka WP:CBB) is a terrific way to let your newly created Portal, WikiProject, etc., be known to the community, including at the Community Portal. It's also a great way to recruit fellow editors. If you post a notice there, please follow these guidelines:
Use present tense.
Bold the main link.
Keep it short and sweet, news style.
Use pulldates (one week) by inserting them into a hidden comment like this: <!-- Pulldate: July 3 -->
Or just follow the instructions on the page, which will be visible when you edit it.
You can also submit WikiProject and similar news to the relevant section of the Wikipedia Signpost.
