History

Zenfolio was started in 2004 as a site targeted at professional photographers. The site went beta in 2005, and live for new subscribers in 2006.[1] After its full release, it was reviewed as "an elegant newcomer on the internet photo-hosting scene."[2]

Features

Zenfolio is not free, although there is a two week evaluation period. Multiple plan options are available, depending on the features desired. In a review, PC World noted at "Many of Zenfolio's key features are built around serious photographers."[3]

Privacy and security

Zenfolio has various options to allow control over the privacy and security of published photos, including a password-based digital rights management option available for an additional fee.[2]
