The Truth: Lost at Sea is a documentary film directed by Rifat Audeh. The film was released in 2017 in Jordan.[1] The film explores the aftermath of the 2010 Israeli Navy attack on the Freedom Flotilla. It follows the media and how the workers defending their ships were portrayed, contrary to the image of what actually happened.
Plot
The film follows the story of human rights defenders who are murdered and then vilified after their deaths, while the world allows their killers to go unpunished. The narrative is set against the backdrop of the 2010 Freedom Flotilla, which was attacked by the Israeli Navy. The film provides a deep dive into the media's portrayal of workers who defended their ships, as opposed to the opposite.[1][2]
