Hotel Manger

  • ... that in 1964, The Beatles stayed and held a press conference at the Hotel Manger?
    • ALT1:... that at the time of its opening, the Hotel Manger had proportionately more marble than any other building in New England?
    • ALT2 ... that the Hotel Manger once used a steam locomotive to heat the hotel?

  • New enough, as it was nominated two days after creation. It's size of 5380 characters of readable prose well exceeds the requirement of 1500, so long enough. The article is written from a neutral viewpoint, and each paragraph contains inline citations. Earwig detected no direct copyvio or close paraphrasing, and neither did I (note this is AGF since most of the sources are offline). No hook image to check against, All proposed hooks are directly cited to offline sources, AGF on those also. All proposed hooks thereby approved, but my preference is strongly that of ALT2. The Beatles had a lot of press conferences, so that hardly makes this building unique. The "more marble" claim might need a grain of salt, as this information comes from local papers, and my guess is from the hotel's press agent. Getting heat from a steam locomotive? Now, that's unusual and interesting! This article is ready for and deserves main page exposure. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 16:58, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
