The center has been a part of the community for many years and has undergone expansions and renovations to meet consumer needs. Originally, it was called the Cookstown outlet mall, however it was acquired by Tanger and Riocan and relaunched in 2014. [2]

In April 2023, $5000 of jewelry was stolen from a store in the outlet mall.[citation needed]
