Credited with developing the tap code?

In the Prisoner of War section, Lawrence is credited with developing the tap code: "He developed a code by tapping on the prison walls to communicate with other prisoners." According to the linked article, the code has a long history, but was introduced to the Vietnam War "in June 1965 by four POWs held in the Hoa Lo "Hanoi Hilton" prison: Captain Carlyle "Smitty" Harris, Lieutenant Phillip Butler, Lieutenant Robert Peel, and Lieutenant Commander Robert Shumaker." This was two years before Lawrence and Bailey were shot down. 138.163.106.72 (talk) 18:16, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
