This article needs history about how Up Records was started at the suggestion of Bruce Pavitt to Chris Takino (I think that's how it went, need to find the article somewhere).
Up Records, during the latter 1990's and early 2000's, was the coolest record label in the Northwest. It would be great to find some good references on this.
