Notability

The only reason this boat has mention here is the fact the Navy documented nearly every floating thing and some have assumed everything documented is a commissioned "ship" warranting the United States Ship (USS) prefix. On the side of keeping this piece in anu discussion for deletion is the window it gives to the Maryland Conservation Commission State Fishery Force, the arrangements made for patrol of waters during World War I (the whole Section Patrol arrangement was largely a "yachting" venture much loved by collegiate yachtsmen), and through references further reading opportunities about conservation in Maryland. Personally I'd like to see such brief bits covered in a general discussion of the Conservation Commission or perhaps that odd little Squadron Number 8 of the 5th Naval District composed of the boats and men of the Maryland State Fishery Force patrolling Chesapeake waters. 72.196.202.60 (talk) 18:53, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
