Original research

It appears that contributing editors know the story of Truman Everts and have written about it while adding sources along the way, even though additional statements of fact were included that are not found in the source. That is a violation of Wikipedia policy on original research WP:ORIGINAL. For editors, it is good that you know about a subject when you write on it, and thank you for your contributions, but be sure you don't add additional content that is not in the source. If it is important information, find a proper source for it. I am researching this article and adding sources where I can. If I am unable to find a source, the superfluous information will be deleted. God bless and happy editing! MarydaleEd (talk) 21:28, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reward

Clarification is needed of the reward that Everts is said to have denied his rescuers. Who offered it? He could hardly have offered a reward for his own rescue, but if someone else offered it, how would it be up to him whether to pay it or not?Bill (talk) 04:16, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
