He also designed the Senator Theater in Chico, CA (~180 miles north of SF). I may be biased (I used to live in Chico) but I think it's a beautiful building and was wondering what others thought about including it here as an example of his work. I'm sure a Free image could easily be found on Flickr. BrianAshe (talk) 19:39, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Heh heh... I took a series of photos of that theater myself earlier this year when I passed through Chico on Labor Day. The building is looking very good, even though it's now hosting boisterous live shows instead of movies. When I get more time, I'll expand this article and include more of Pflueger's works and personal biography, and I'll choose a Senator photo that's appropriate. Got the photo up in a gallery. Binksternet (talk) 08:54, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nice work (though I'm a big fan of the marquee myself. :-) ) Thanks! BrianAshe (talk) 22:44, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Got one or two shots of the marquee, too. I didn't spend too much time in Chico during my weekend roadtrip, but here are my shots. And here are other people's snaps of the Senator. I guess the Senator could use its own article where there would be more room for photos. Binksternet (talk) 23:30, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Beaux-Arts Institute of Design
The Paramount Theatre history page says that Pflueger went to Beaux-Arts Institute of Design "in his native city", but other sources say he studied with the San Francisco Architectural Club. Can anyone connect the dots and affirm that BAID methods or programs were in place at SFAC? Binksternet (talk) 18:27, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
