Date of publication?
The novel is said to have been published in 1957, but made into an AHP episode in 1955. Either the publication date is wrong, or the novel grew out of the TV episode. Help? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.186.58.31 (talk) 03:28, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
The best I can offer is that the credits for the TV episode give a story credit to Anthony Armstrong and do not cite it as "based on the book by" or "based on the novel by" as I've seen in similar situations. It's possible that Hitchcock had access to the story prior to publication; I've heard of that happening with other works. 99.0.37.134 (talk) 15:32, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
