Title of the painting
The one cited reference for this article never uses the phrase "Fall of Man". Is the correct title for this painting "Adam and Eve"? WheresSnickers (talk) 13:35, 18 March 2019 (UTC)
- Generally, the idea that paintings of this age have a "correct" title is a mistake. Museums often change titles on whim, & several different titles are often used by various scholars. "Adam and Eve" suggests more portrait-like images, of the type Durer and others made famous. This is more a history painting, showing a specific moment in the narrative, and Fall of Man" is the usual traditional name for this moment. Johnbod (talk) 17:10, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
