His successor in Congress

It seems that his successor in Congress was actually Nydia M. Velazquez who defeated him in the Democratic primary for New York district 12. Is there a way to modify the template at the bottom of the article to reflect the complexity of the re-districting situation?

Stephen Solarz's visit to India

It is written that Stephen Solarz got a standing ovation in Indian parliament, which was accorded to few westerners, such as Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy. Bill Clinton addressed Indian parliament in March 2000 and got a standing ovation. However did John F. Kennedy visit India anytime? His visit to India was agreed upon but he was assassinated before that could materialize. Stephen J. Solarz → Stephen Solarz – WP:COMMONNAME. News outlets far more often used his name without the middle initial.

C-SPAN videos of Solarz (during and after his political career) used "Stephen Solarz" in most on-screen graphics [1].

Google search "Stephen Solarz" site:upi.com returns 92 results compared to six for "Stephen J. Solarz" site:upi.com, indicating that the United Press International wire service used "Stephen Solarz" much more often in its news coverage.

CNN referred to him simply as "Stephen Solarz" in TV interviews, like this one in 2003, as well as its stories like this one in 1998 and this one in 1997.

Google returns only one result for "Stephen J. Solarz" site:time.com but multiple when omitting the middle initial, such as this story from 1987 and this one in 1980.

Upon his passing in 2010, Roll Call used "Stephen Solarz" in its obituary headline [2], and The Wall Street Journal introduced him as "Stephen Solarz" [3]. Arbor to SJ (talk) 01:43, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
