This software is not widely used but there is no alternative software with better precision. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.98.79.68 (talk) 13:57, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That there is no better alternative is not by itself a criterion for inclusion, either for or against. The article cannot survive a deletion discussion on that argument alone. However, it is possible to remedy the situation by picking a few references from the list that I found here. Those might help you expand the article.
Remember, the first thing is to show that the article can be referenced, and the best way to do that is to find third-party references and use them. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 20:20, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support but I note that this reverses a previous move 17:38, 17 March 2017‎ Solar Gate (talk | contribs | block)‎ . . (102 bytes) (+102)‎ . . (Solar Gate moved page Simple Model of the Atmospheric Radiative Transfer of Sunshine to Simple Model of the Atmospheric Radiative Transfer of Sunshine (SMARTS): This software is most known under its condensed name (SMARTS). Searching wikipedia...) . SMARTS is however seriously ambiguous. This proposed move is at least an improvement. Andrewa (talk) 07:28, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as "(SMARTS)" is an abbreviation, not part of the name. jamacfarlane (talk) 12:09, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
