GA Reassessment

As part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles' Project quality task force, I am re-reviewing this article to ensure compliance with current good article criteria. I have determined that it doesn't meet criteria for the reasons outlined below and needs a bit of work if it is to retain its status.

  • The lead needs to address things like development and reception
  • The plot has a cleanup tag, and for good reason; it's excessively detailed to the point that it hampers understanding for those who haven't seen the film. Cut out the tangental character mentions and asides, and summarize more rather than a blow-by-blow account.
  • There appear to be excessive use of non-free images in violation of WP:NFCC. In particular File:Dvd SH Revenge.jpg and File:Cybil-Movie.png don't add much and should be removed. File:Dvd SH SilentHill.jpg might be able to fly given the critical reception, but it needs a stronger fair use rationale and should be made lower resolution.
  • The "release" and "music" sections need sources, and the music section needs to be fleshed out into at least a single paragraph.
  • "#The 'real' Silent Hill" should just be cut; the parallel is made clear in development, but it's really just trivia.
  • The "#Sequel" section needs to be wikified; one-sentence lines by their lonesome should be expanded, cut or merged into full paragraphs.

As there has been no stated improvements or steps towards addressing the above issues, I am delisting. Remember you can renominate at WP:GAN any time you feel it meets criteria, but I recommend taking a stab at the above issues first.
