I have moved the following recently added text here:-

Short anagen syndrome is a cause of abnormally short scalp hair. Anagen isthe growing phase of thenormal hair cycle, and isfollowed by telogen – thehair sheds or moults during telogen. Another anagen hair then starts to grow in thesame follicle. In shortanagen syndrome, the duration of anagen may be onlya year or two, compared to the normal 4 to 7 years. It usuallypresents in childhood, with parentsreporting thattheir child ‘can't grow their hair long’ or has ‘never had a haircut’. Short anagen syndrome was first described in 1991 and there are few case reports.2-5 Its cause isunknown. Most reported cases have occurred in single members of a family and so far no genetic abnormality hasbeen found.1-5

I am inviting the editor to discuss the matter. Axl ¤ [Talk] 02:04, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
