I grew up near that area and am not certain about the accuracy of the statement that the school building burned in the 1990's. During the 1980's, the school was abandoned and had a large hole in the roof. It appeared that there had been an explosion. I heard that it was a gas main that (allegedly) killed children in a similar manner to the New London school explosion in the 1930s. External parts of the building were in tact, including desks and chalkboards.

I was told by (names that will not be mentioned) someone that the White Oak Tx Police Department had helped the KKK in burning down the school .. Why wasnt this ever mentioned? I heard many of things about the KKK and the police killing those innocent children, but I get online and only get a couple of pictures of a wall and maybe two paragraphs of what briefly explains mainly about a church and who built it. We should discuss what really happened and bring all those children and their families justice. I seriously do not understand how people can be so cruel even back then, and it has only gotten worse since. People in White Oak Texas have always been racist even after segregation times. I myself cannot stand people who live in that town and I refuse to stop for anything while having to drive through it to get to Longview...and now lets talk about the police department. They are more racist today than they were when they helped the Klu Klux Klan murder all those children in that school. I had to bring this to attention sincs no one else has said anything. The majorityof the people in White Oak Tx have and always will be a disgrace in my eyes. I understand it was decades ago, but those kids and families still deserve justice to be brought to them...
