  • I've just created this long overdue article about S. Parkes Cadman, the notable clergyman, pioneer radio minister, national church leader, and prolific writer of the early 20th century, as the subject certainly meets Wikipedia: Notability requirements. I have a feeling that S. Parkes Cadman was not born in Wellington. I believe he was born in a coal mining village called Ketley, which is a mile or two out of Wellington. On the old Watling Street Roman Road. Can someone cite a source for claiming S. Parkes Cadman was born in Wellington? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.8.15.64 (talk) 02:35, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

His New York Times obituary (cited as reference #1) states he was born in Wellington.  JGHowes  talk 22:49, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on Darwin?

I note among his earlier books "Charles Darwin and other English Thinkers". It would be interesting if someone could look into this and, where appropriate, note what it said for his views on Darwin and evolution. Darwin and Cadman were both Shropshire-born men and Darwin had died during Cadman's lifetime in 1882.Cloptonson (talk) 14:46, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
