Deletion by Hohenloe: POV claim

Can't quite see the POV issue here. Can you point out the offending phrase please? Could an alternative wording more pleasing to you be used that would fall short of total deletion? for the record, the offending paragrapg reads: "The movement was initiated by the English Reformation which was in turn set in motion by the government of King Henry VIII of England. Following the failure of the King's ambassadors to induce the Pope to agree to the annulment of his marriage, it became necessary for the King to assert his lordship over the Roman Catholic Church in his realm to give legal effect to his wishes in the King's Great Matter. This eventually led to the de facto establishment of a state religion in his realm called the Church of England. In converting his political standing in Ireland from that of Lord to that of King of Ireland (1541), it became necessary to carry out the same religious policy in that realm also."
