Merge proposal: merging Liffey Radio into Raidió Na Life article

Rather than a simple bold redirect, there is enough history of editing on the Liffey Radio article to suggest that a merge propoal would be more appropriate. While Liffey Radio or Radio Liffey would be a correct translation of the name of the statiom, the station would be more generally known, even in English, as Raidió Na Life. For example, it is licensed as Raidió na Life by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI information on station), reporting on the station in English uses the Radió na life title (example) and scheduling information in media uses the Raidió Na Life title. It would seem that WP:COMMONNAME would apply here. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 16:04, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can see, there is nothing to merge. A redirect from Liffey Radio to Raidió na Life would be fine. Best, GeneralBelly (talk) 22:19, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have never heard of the english translation being used - ever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.97.178.18 (talk) 03:31, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is another radio station called Liffey Sound FM in Dublin.

I don't think that this page has any issues. Could a moderator please take down the notices on the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darren J. Prior (talkcontribs) 23:24, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

IPA

I deleted the IPA as I think it is too confusing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.7.26.148 (talk) 05:32, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Just because you can't read it or don't like it doesn't make it policy on Wikipedia. IPA is common - and welcome - for words with obscure pronunciations or non-English entity names. So please desist. Akerbeltz (talk) 11:09, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
