Ronzoni and Post Holdings Distribution

FYI: Ronzoni has long been sold in California, probably even prior to the mergers, acquisitions, and trade-offs of the brands. Many west-coasters came of age eating Ronzoni brand pasta before the restructuring, which is aside from other companies that were directly manufactured in California. California also has a long tradition of domestic pasta-making, aside from importing.

Among the domestic pasta market in California, Ronzoni traditionally competed with Golden Grain Pasta, which is historically based in Northern California and has long been a major producer similar to Ronzoni from the east coast. Comparatively, Golden Grain went on to purchase the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company and the Mission Macaroni Company, along with numerous other well-known food brands. Today, Golden Grain is owned by TreeHouse Brands, which is mentioned in this article.

Regarding Ronzoni, see the NY Times article, "A Label That's All the Family", by Gene Salorio, Sept. 1, 1974: https://www.nytimes.com/1974/09/01/archives/a-label-thats-all-in-the-family.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.35.17.4 (talk) 19:41, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
