I believe this should be renamed to Microsoft Copilot now, as per Microsoft's announcement today to merge Microsoft 356 Copilot, Edge's Bing Chat sidebar, and Windows Copilot. Reallysoftuser (talk) 13:55, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like an ad

Many of Wikipedia's pages get marked for being written like an advert. Not this one (yet), though in my opinion it should be, in its current form. 2A02:A46F:2281:0:E009:4A95:242C:25E7 (talk) 14:31, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Opening section sound like an advertisement

Hi, I believe the opening section sounds like and advertisement. Here are two (of possibly more throughout the article?) statements that sound to me like a PR piece: "ability to automate mundane tasks, manage more, develop chatbots, and transform a concept into a functioning app in mere minutes becomes accessible to everyone" and "However, experts maintain that Copilot could revolutionize the way Microsoft users work and collaborate." Ashune (talk) 14:21, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Some more examples that sound like someone trying to "sell" this service to readers:

  • "Copilot can also cite its sources, unlike many other chatbots.",
  • The whole "Features" section - subsection "Seamless Voice Control and Assistance", e.g. "Click the microphone icon and speak naturally to open apps, adjust settings like volume and dark mode, get answers to questions, and more.",
  • "Warren also believes that Copilot and Microsoft 365 will shift how users work and collaborate.[4] Rowan Curran, an analyst at Forrester, notes that the integration of an AI like Copilot can smooth out the user experience, as they will not have to use an external tool to perform tasks like summarizing a paper.[31]",
  • "leverages the advanced capabilities of O",
  • "Users can also ask Copilot to push rewrite suggestions that strengthen the arguments of highlighted texts", etc.

I will tag it with the "Advert" template until I or someone else corrects these and any other possible advertising. --Ashune (talk) 20:12, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I tagged a part of the lead section as promotional before even noticing this. Gluonz (talk) 20:40, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've cut down the opening section by a bit and removed a lot of stuff that's either irrelevant, already explained previously, or are just flashy marketing buzzwords. Zenphia1 (talk) 18:21, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Would this issue now be considered resolved? –Gluonz talk contribs 17:51, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

no mention of copilot recording your screen, privacy issues

copilot comes with recall, which takes screenshots of your screen every few seconds. it does not hide payment info, passwords if they're shown on screen, and it is - and really should be - controversial and breaking user privacy. info like this being left out does seem like cherry picking to make this article into an ad. 2001:999:504:9652:2958:1B64:9969:EC66 (talk) 14:29, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

From my understanding, this was a relatively recent development and as such has not yet been mentioned in the article. However, I agree that information about this should perhaps be included. –Gluonz talk contribs 14:33, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
