Marylhurst, Oregon is a name of a U.S. Post Office in southern Lake Oswego, Oregon. The post office is located on the first floor of the J.P. John Administrative Building on the Marylhurst University campus at 17600 Pacific Highway, with a separate entrance facing the Clark Commons and Mayer Art Building. The post office was established on 9 August 1939. The name "Marylhurst" means "Mary's height," with the letter "L" inserted for an ease of pronunciation.[1]

Being a P.O. Box-only post office, "Marylhurst, Oregon 97036" designation is used only for P.O. Box addresses located at the university, which is within the city limits of Lake Oswego.

Marylhurst is also the name of a neighborhood within the city of West Linn, Oregon southwest to the Marylhurst University campus[2], and is also the name of a residential development across from the university, which officially is part of the Glenmorrie neighborhood of Lake Oswego, Oregon.[3] It is located approximately eight miles south of Portland on Oregon Route 43 near the Willamette River. Marylhurst is the home of Marylhurst University and its Art Gallery.

Boldly edited

I researched the city boundaries to confirm that there is no unincorporated area between West Linn and Lake Oswego. I simplified the anon edits above and rewrote the article. tbc (talk) 23:49, 10 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
