Two issues with this article

I notice two issues with this article. First, the lead states that she was born in (native of) Cuba, but then states that she moved there with her family from Haiti, implying that she was already born when her family came to Cuba. Second, St. [what?] in the last sentence?Truth or consequences-2 (talk) 15:51, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. She was born in San Domingo, but I think this is supposed to be Saint-Domingue, as she has a French name, and it was a French-speaking colony. San Domingo was not a term used at the time. Saint-Domingue is where the Haitian Revolution took place.Parkwells (talk) 20:25, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
