Article Reads Poorly

The entire article reads poorly. Almost no sources and it definitely reads as though it falls under "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject." (I'm not sure how to apply this tag to the article). For instance, the entire biography section seems to be subjectively written, and contains no sources. I'd be tempted to completely remove much of the article on these grounds, but I'm not sure as I think it would only leave a couple of lines, and I'm new hear and I don't want to be too aggressive.
