Proposed merge with List of specialized glands within the human integumentary system
The information on this page would be better represented in a central list. Having this information in one place is more likely to benefit readers, and by virtue of more eyeballs, may also be more likely to improve in quality. LT910001 (talk) 06:24, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Consistency
Right now the gland names in the chart jump back and forth from singular to plural. Any thoughts on using either plural or singular throughout the chart?
Also, there are some glands that are listed in the skin section but are not in the main list of exocrine glands (eg Tyson's gland). Is there a reason for this? Or should we merge the two charts? Or at least have the glands in both lists? I find it confusing as is. Lucien504 (talk) 16:07, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
WHY ? The Liver isn't Listed ? - "the largest gland in the human body."
It is both the largest internal organ (the skin being the largest organ overall) and the largest gland in the human body. It is located in the right upper quadrant of the abdominal cavity, resting just below the diaphragm. The liver lies to the right of the stomach and overlies the gallbladder.
