- I've reviewed the sourcing of the article, and I'm going to close the review at this time. This article needs more coverage of the subject before it can be promoted to GA. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:51, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- Well-written
- Verifiable with no original research
All sources appear to be reliable.
Spot checks:
- Glass (2012)
- Unable to verify "Tusculum University"
- Close paraphrasing:
earned himself a reputation as a skilled lawyer
compared to earning a reputation as an able lawyer
- Davidson (1989) – Is Deseret News the only source for the reason of his suicide? If so, it should be attributed.
- Broad in its coverage
This article has a total of only 467 words, including the lead, and it's essentially a short list of facts. This article needs to dig a little deeper into the sources so that it covers the significance of his career and puts it in context. I know that it can be a little more difficult to find information about figures like this, but there are plenty of places to look. Books about politics in the era will likely have something, and there are plenty of newspapers that mention him. Fighting for the Speakership by Charles Stewart III and Jeffery A. Jenkins, for example, has a few pages about his tenure (I can get you the relevant excerpts if you can't access the book yourself, just email me or drop by my talk page). Make sure to check different resources in the Wikipedia Library as well.
