The Baron’s father is listed as having property in Jamaica. It be relevant to the entry to establish whether or not this was a slaveholding family given the later association with Jefferson Davis, the only president of the confederacy. David Nahoum (talk) 18:53, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@David Nahoum:The Legacies of British Slave-ownership database shows that Scarlett was awarded compensation for slaves in 1836. I will put this info on the page, but welcome any improvements.--DrThneed (talk) 03:41, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
