Overscript Redirect

Overscript is also a typographical term akin to Subscript and superscript (also underscript). Ideally a disambiguation line should be added; however, I have yet to locate the article pertaining to the term as used in typography (or at least the article discussing the topic, whether or not the actual term is mentioned).

Overstrike

Agreed, overstrike article is also poorly written and involves blanket opinions and data that is not backed up. The "INSERT Key" Article contains the definition of overstrike mode, albeit only a sentence, so an additional article is really unnecessary.

Article on overstrike mode isn't big enough, or notable enough, to warrant a seperate article, merge it into the page of the key that controls it. 204.9.144.52 15:53, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Macintosh MS Word Overtype

The following text was removed on the grounds that it is unsourced (as is the rest of the section):

"In Microsoft Word for Macintosh 2008 and 2011, the Overtype command can be added to a customized menu or toolbar, or assigned a keyboard shortcut."

This is not described in the help files for MS Word. I would also point out that if the command is added to a menu or toolbar it is necessary to exit and re-enter the document for it to become usable. Clearly, there's nothing more I can do here to try to help other translators use Macs. Nadiatalent (talk) 18:03, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If the rest of the section is also unsourced, then it should be tagged for needing sources. If it has been tagged already for a substantive amount of time, I'd say you're welcome to delete it or move it here until it can be sourced per WP:V. Either way, what you're describing is original research unless a reliable source has discussed this information. Cheers. Doniago (talk) 18:30, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help key

Do you think this page should be combined with Help key? I mean it's the same key, just does different function on different platform. The Channel of Random (talk) 18:49, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose On Windows PCs (still the most common physical keyboard), there is a physical insert key but no physical help key. F1 was most often used but that is on the other side of the keyboard – so very definitely not the same key. In all honesty, I suggest just let sleeping dogs lie, it is a historical curiosity. Nowadays help is one of the options on a drop-down menu. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:20, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
