Man in the doorway

There are other people named Billy Lovelady. The man in the doorway is correctly and uniquely identified everywhere as Billy Nolan Lovelady. I tried to add the missing middle name (because people search on his full name) and it got reverted with "extraneous middle name in caption" (don't bother checking), so now it is here. Also compound-reverted "makes numerous changes counter to FA" (is WP:FA a guideline?), "incorrect capitalization [after colon in titles only; see MOS]" (wrong, must have never seen a memo). See the edit history – other editors almost never do anything right. I should have known better than to edit an owned article. -A876 (talk) 19:28, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

@A876: you're certainly entitled to an opinion re "owned", but it's false. The reversion was correct in that:

• whether other people named Billy Lovelady exist is irrelevant; "depository employee Billy Lovelady" excludes all others, and certainly in a caption;
• formatting changes ran counter to WP:LAYOUT, at least at the time this article went through the Featured Article process, and I see no updates to LAYOUT that favor changes that could damage the article's FA status;
• the first word after a colon is capitalized ONLY in titles or when effectively starting a new sentence, per our MOS and many others.

Because this is a Featured Article, it is and should be held to a higher standard, as the edit history shows. ATS (talk) 21:26, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Officer Baker

... was correctly removed from the article. Despite the point made above, where Baker saw LHO within an estimated 90 seconds of the shooting is not germane without contemporaneous testimony placing Oswald in the doorway some 90 seconds prior (because he literally could have been anywhere 90-seconds distant. 190.211.145.172 (talk) 19:13, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
