debouchure?

Could someone explain this technical term, as it's not in Wiktionary! Oxford English Dictionary says it's the same as "debouchment" and defines that as "The mouth or outlet of a river, a pass, etc.", but it's not a term many people (except, perhaps, cavers?) will know. (The original author of this article hasn't edited since May 2007, so there seems no point just asking on his talk page)PamD (talk) 10:24, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
