ants lure people to loved ones, who appear to be still alive, actually being moved by ants, headless corpse (animated) is being controlled by millions of mindless ants.
the zombies ants begin to surround loved ones, and will keep them alive so that the live people, out of reach, will do their bidding. If they don't do their bidding, the ants will start biting the surrounded people.
Soft power - propaganda - psych ops. The sound of ants (and or zombies) make people crazy, they start to do terrible things. The sound lures them out into the zombies. Makes them turn on each other.
Social statement on how we are all controlled by something bigger than us, that we are all mindless creatures being manipulated by a group we do not control.
