The Ordnance Survey distinguishes the village and lake as Elterwater and Elter Water respectively, but the OS has a record of making such decisions arbitrarily, and I'm not aware of other sources making the distinction.
I see Wikipedia follows the OS on this one, but can anyone provide more definitive documentation for doing so? Ministry (talk) 15:13, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
