Water quality is essential
From my experience no shampoos could help me against dandruff, but then I started using filtered/purified water and all the dandruff disappeared immediately. The causes are chlorine [1] and water hardness [2]. I find it strange that nobody has mentioned these aspects here. --Termgrauzis (talk) 15:47, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Dandruff resides in lungs
Aspiring dandruff produces a burning sensation in lungs that lasts for several hours to days. It also gives bad taste, bad taste to food and leaves a persistent bad smell for hours. Should be advised it may carry pathogens and insect parasites as well into the lungs.
