Be bold - if you know something about Cornwall then put it in! We value your contributions and don't be afraid if your spelling isn't great as there are plenty of spelling and grammar experts on clean-up duty!
Articles on settlements in Cornwall should be written using the standard set of headings approved by the UK geography WikiProject's guideline How to write about settlements.
At WikiProject Cornwall we subscribe to the policies laid down by Wikipedia - particularly civility and consensus building. We are aware that the wording on Cornish entries can sometimes be a contentious topic, especially those concerning geography. You don't have to agree with everything but there is no excuse for rudeness and these things are best solved through consensus building and compromise. For more information see WP:CornwallGuideline.
These pages are not platforms for political discussion. Issues relating to Cornish politics should be restricted to those pages that directly deal with these issues (such as Constitutional status of Cornwall, Cornish nationalism, etc) and should not overflow into other articles.
Most of all have fun editing - that's the reason we all do this, right?!
I hope to add a fair amount to this article over the next 6 months. I am going to visit Cotehele in May, and then take it from there and try to date the clock more accurately.
If there is anyone out there with more information about this clock, especially about the known history, I would be very grateful.

Article 'multiple issue' warning flairs
The article has several 'multiple issue' warning flairs which falsely give the impression that the data is unreliable - this seems unfair and innapropriate given the ammount of work that presumably Christian Dannemann has put into this article as above post.
The article provides excellent detail about a little known and near-unique object of considerable significance- the data would be otherwise hard to get hold of.
At present the issues are noted as follows
This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page. (Learn how and when to remove these template messages)
This article may be too technical for most readers to understand. Please help improve it to make it understandable to non-experts, without removing the technical details. (November 2011)
A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (November 2019)
This article needs additional citations for verification. (November 2019)
This article possibly contains original research. (November 2019)
This article includes a list of references, related reading or external links, but its sources remain unclear because it lacks inline citations.
As a non specialist I disagree that the article is 'too technical' - by comparison to other scientific/technical articles the description is clear and relevant. There are also appropriate references to literature for the object so this flag is also unjustified.
Whoever flagged the above should address the issue - without dumbing down the content - or the unnecessary flags should be removed forthwith.
I've reduced them to one - there are no inline citations, which is an issue. CD has not contributed since 2012 unfortnately. Johnbod (talk) 15:29, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
