What CSC's are for
I saw the original page that defined a CSC as a logistics unit. Having been in multiple CSC units, and working today as an Army logistics doctrine writer, I had to change that. In the days of the division centric Army, CSS meant, combat service support. However, in 2006 the Army changed its formal terminology to, combat sustainment support. It was my experience as a mortarman that the CSC units were the scouts and special weapons platoons of a combat arms battalion. I'll leave this for someone else to find the references. 108.4.5.78 (talk) 22:51, 31 May 2014 (UTC) Charles Bissett
