Acorn from this oak?
I believe that one of the acorns from the Charter Oak spurred a tree that now is thriving in Fairfield, CT.
Captain Joseph Wadsworth
How can this article not actually name Captain Joseph Wadsworth? I'm no expert, but wasn't the the American hero of the whole incident? Filiocht 11:26, Jan 28, 2005 (UTC)
Fate of the tree?
The article does not say anything about what happened to the Charter Oak. I believe it was hit by lightning and destroyed, but I could be wrong. I know it was destroyed in the 1800's — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.4.69.92 (talk) 23:23, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
