I want to share some best practices for list articles of this genre.
  • Use the the city or location name as the heading for each section; The letter suffixes aren't going to mean a whole lot in the table of contents
  • Sort the sections in south-to-north order to keep them geographically lined up.
  • Something to note is that it isn't a good idea to duplicate section names because if someone tries to link to that section, they may end up in a different one.
    • Since these will all be short and fairly self contained, I wouldn't try to make separate route description subsections with separate history subsections. Just give them separate paragraphs.
    • I wouldn't put a true heading above the junction list tables; I just start the line with a semicolon (;) so that the pseudo-heading appears in bold.
    • In fact, if there aren't any junctions for a business route except the termini, you can omit the table completely; if only one route in the whole list though would be missing a table, put one it anyway in the end.
  • Don't forget to create the redirects. That way {{jct|state=TX|US-Bus|287|dab1=Vernon}} will link to U.S. Route 287 Business (Vernon, Texas) which redirects to Business routes of U.S. Route 287 in Texas#Vernon.
  • If any have separate articles, then they still need a summary here with the {{main}} hatnote at the top of the subsection. Imzadi 1979 → 08:27, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Business US Highway 287-P (BUS US 287-P) is a 38.613-mile-long (62.142 km) business loop that serves as a main street for Mansfield, downtown Fort Worth and Saginaw. The loop was designated on January 14, 1991. It replaced a portion of Loop 496, and the old route of US 287 and US 81. The business loop was then rerouted several times during the 1990s.

  • This section, if pasted into the article, doesn't need its junction list. Leave that level of detail to the main article on the business loop.
  • It does need an infobox and short summary. We could expand upon this a bit, but I'd try to keep it to a single paragraph without too much detail. Remember, the full article will have all of the details.
  • We just need to give the reader enough detail to place this business loop into context with the others, so I tried to touch on a few important highlights.
