Usage

The name is generally pronounced the same as "Blunt" in Britain. It can also be used as a given name, too. I came across an example in Leicestershire, from the early 18th Century, where a woman's maiden name was given as "Blount" in the marriage register, but one of her sons was later given the forename "Blunt" according to the baptism register.
