Removal of the first part

Criticism

While I've heard/read the term used, I'm unaware of any formal definition for the terminology "Barracks emperor" -- how do we determine whether a given person should belong (or be excluded) from this category? What this article needs is a history of the term: who created it, who uses it, what kind of interpretation of Roman history does it promote? Otherwise, we just have a dubious list of people who possibly have one or more things in common. -- llywrch (talk) 23:11, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
