Two-letter abbreviations behind teams of first round

What do the two capltal letters in brackets which are attached to every team of the first round mean? Are these abbreviations for the provinces the respective teams come from? Would it be possible to wikify the first occurance of each abbreviation so that their meaning becomes clear when one clicks on the link? Or, alternatively – how about replacing them entirely with the division the team plays in during the 2015–16 season (click here for an example)? --Soccer-holic^{I hear voices in my head...} 20:24, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
