Alright, for odd-numbered years, we mostly don't have an article "XXXX United States elections". There's a lot less to say, but not nothing, and things to link to also. For instance, there is an article 1939 United States House of Representatives elections linked to. This is typical for say 1938 United States elections and 1940 United States elections of course, but there almost always a few House elections in odd-numbered years, and often gubernatorial too.

So we should have these articles, right? I mean there's no reason for a reader searching on "1939 United States elections" to be taken to a 404 rather than here. It is a way to get to 1939 United States House of Representatives elections and so on.

I think this should be unexceptionable? But it does look a little different than the even-numbered year articles, and also I do not usually edit or create articles like this so I may be being ham-handed, and for all I know there's some proscription against odd-year articles like this. so I'm laying this down in case there are corrections and comments to be made, so I can learn. Thank you, and don't forget to tip the bartenders and waitrons. Herostratus (talk) 03:59, 14 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
