Salwan is a village in Karnal District, Haryana, India.[1]
The village belongs to Zamindar Brahmans, including the ancestors of Mahatma Ravan. The village has contributed many soldiers to the Indian Army. Three sons of Shri Mohkam Singh were the first commissioned officers from the village: Major General Anil Kumar RVS, Maj Gen Yoginder Singh AMC and Maj Gen K P Singh (PARA SF).
It contains a tirtha identified as having national importance.
